A poem by Chris

pencilandpaperA couple of weeks ago Chris Sianopoulo favoured us with a poem he had composed:

Divine Intervention

In the beginning there was the void
Divine intervention had to be employed
Spheres of molten gases began to appear
The beginning of the universe was near
The earth appeared and there was light
It warmed the earth the sun so bright
Then came thunder and with it sound
All the creatures paradise was found
Night and day began, the man was born
Innocence and purity diminished now he was torn
He invented the wheel and flight to the moon
Hunger and poverty remained for he had jumped too soon
Soon came inventions and multiple of ways
Powerful telescopes the stars he would gaze
The universe echoes with cosmic love
Tune into it for its below and above.
